The PiranhaMax 176i has a 4 inch, 16 shade grayscale display with a resolution of 240V X 160H that will show crisp images. With 200 watts of power output and Dual Beam sonar, you can quickly switch between a deeper 200 kHz beam and a clearer, but shallower 455kHz beam! With the high-frequency 455kHz sonar, you’ll be able to see crystal clear underwater pictures. You may also track your route, view course over ground, and get your GPS speed reading while functioning.

The 176i does not contain any mapping or the capacity to add them. The GPS is very basic, with just waypoints, your route, and GPS speed displayed.

There’s a first for everything:

“Remember the first time you went fishing? It was you and the water, calm, soothing, gently rippling and waving here and there – it was love at first sight. You still hear the birds chirping, the wind blowing through the trees – but the sound that sticks in your mind is when your bobber got sucked into the water and you felt a “plonk,” followed by a big grin on your face. Blood rushed to your head; a smile lit up your lips. This was it! Your very first catch! You enthusiastically reel it in and look with pride at your first catch: a magnificent fish – this is a moment you will never forget.”

“You’re impatiently waiting for your PiranhaMax 176i to arrive, and you’re in a nervous slump in your chair – you dream about reeling in fish after fish, and as it arrives, you eagerly take it out of the packaging and set it up on your boat. Your first fish finder! You turn it on, and the sonar readings start scrolling across your screen, showing you all of the fish that are there in the lake simply waiting to be caught. Do you have any idea what you recall when looking at your first fishing rod? It’s like being back again! That same thrill is back again! ”
